Canadian Magic Needs You! 🎩 Here are 4 ways to support magic in Canada and keep our community thriving.

Fellow Canadian magicians,

With the United States imposing 25% tariffs on Canadian goods, the ripple effect reaches beyond trade—it impacts our industry, our craft, and our ability to grow.

Now more than ever, we need to support one another, strengthen our community, and ensure that Canadian magic continues to flourish at home and on the world stage.

This isn’t just about economics—it’s about Canadian pride.

It’s about making sure Canadian magicians continue to thrive, innovate, and inspire.

Canadian Magicians Stand Together

Ways You Can Support Canadian Magician

So, what can YOU do to stand with Canadian magicians? Here are a few ways:

1. Support Canadian Magicians 🎩

If you love magic, show it! Support your fellow Canadian magician's events. Attend their shows. Share their social media posts. Whether it’s a local performer, a rising star, or a seasoned pro, your support keeps our community alive and growing.

2. Shop at Canada’s Last Few Magic Stores 🛍️

The magic shop experience is irreplaceable, and we’re down to just two magic shops in Canada.

If you need magic supplies, buy from either Browser's Den of Magic (Toronto) and Clownin Around Magic Shop (Vancouver) instead of massive online American retailers.

Every purchase helps them keep their doors open for the next generation of magicians.

3. Join Your Local Magic Club 🔮

Magic clubs are the backbone of our community.

They connect you with fellow magicians, provide mentorship, and help keep magic strong in Canada. If you’re not already part of a local club, now is the time to join.

4. Become a Member of the Canadian Association of Magicians (CAM) 🍁

Here’s the truth: magic in Canada depends on us working together.

When you join CAM, you’re not just signing up for a membership—you’re standing with Canadian magicians and securing the future of our art.

CAM fights to keep magic alive, supports our performers, and ensures Canadian magicians get the recognition they deserve on the world stage.

Please follow CAM on Facebook and Instagram.

Why This Matters

We have an incredible magic community in Canada.

We’ve produced world champions, groundbreaking innovators, and performers who are respected worldwide. But we need to support each other now more than ever.

The more we stand together, the stronger Canadian magic becomes.

So let’s do this. Let’s support each other, protect our industry, and show the world that Canadian magic is unstoppable.

Drop a comment or share this with a fellow magician. Let’s make some real magic happen!

Thank you for doing this! It's really really important, and we all need to pull together :)

One move I think would be appreciated too, is to get off of X which is owned by Elon Musk, a haven for awful people, and from which many many companies have rightly been leaving. Bluesky is a nice alternative.

I wanted to add one more surviving physical magic shop in Canada! It's in Toad Hall in Winnipeg. They have had a magic counter there for decades, and have way more magic in stock than their kids toys-focused website would suggest--I found some real treasures in their shelf of lecture notes, and they have some cool magic posters and props on display, includin…
